Philosophy of Care:
Dr. Phelps is a psychologist whose practice includes general individual, family and group clinical services with a short-term, solution/problem-oriented focus. Adjunct to the Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency program, he is also involved in training family medicine residents. He is licensed in clinical psychology in Maine. Dr. Phelps has a particular clinical interest medically-related conditions (cancer, diabetes, fibromyalgia); trauma and trauma treatment; anxiety disorders; marital/couple relations; and crisis intervention and response. He has practiced in this area since 2000.
