Wound Healing Clinics

MaineGeneral Medical Center's Wound Healing Clinic provides comprehensive wound care services to residents of the greater Kennebec Valley.

We take an interdisciplinary approach to care, consult with specialists and make referrals for patient follow-up care as needed.

Our staff manages wounds that may be difficult or take a long time to heal, including:

  • Venous ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Vascular ulcers
  • Neuropathic ulcers
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Traumatic wounds
  • Surgical wounds
  • Cancerous wounds
  • Burns
  • Ostomy care, including patient education

Our clinic is staffed with a physician, specially trained nurses and a full-time secretary.

We are available by appointment with referral.

Appointments

The Wound Healing Clinic is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. To schedule an appointment and for assistance with the referral process, please call (207) 623-6510 or (207) 872-1471.

Our two convenient locations at MGMC's Alfond Center for Health and Thayer Center for Health are handicapped accessible and offer convenient parking.
