After Inpatient Surgery

A A A

You will be transferred to the recovery room after your surgery.

Specially trained nurses will care for you as you recover from anesthesia by closely monitoring your vital signs and encouraging you to take deep breaths and to cough.

Family members can be in the recovery room with you, but because of limited space, the number of visitors should be limited. It is also important that you have time to rest.

Time spent in the recovery room varies with each person. You will be given warm blankets and medication to keep you as comfortable as possible.

You will then be brought to a regular patient room to continue your recovery.
