Save My Spot lets you see current wait times at MaineGeneral’s three Express Care locations:

  • Augusta
  • Gardiner
  • Waterville

When you Save a Spot, you are added to today's list at the location you choose so you can be seen at the approximate time you choose.

NOTE: Saving your spot puts you in the line to be seen but does not guarantee the exact time you will be seen.

How Does Save My Spot Work?

Click on the Save My Spot button above to see the wait times and save your spot at one of the MaineGeneral Express Care locations.

You’ll be asked if you’ve been to MaineGeneral for health care services before. If you have, please enter your information on the next page. Your name should be your legal first and last name, and the other information as it appears on your medical records with MaineGeneral.

If a match to your information is not found, then you will see a message to call a number for assistance.

If you are a parent or caregiver of a patient you want to save a spot for, please enter the patient's information, not your own.

If you have not been a patient of MaineGeneral in the past, you will be asked to give information to create a new record before you can save your spot.

The list of MaineGeneral Express Care locations will be in a box on the left-hand pane of the screen. Here you can see the wait times at each of the three locations.

You can choose the first available time by clicking on “Save My Spot” for the location you want to be seen. You may also choose a later time that day that works for you by clicking on "View More Appointments." Fill out the form and pick your time.

NOTE: This time is the estimated time you will be seen. A high volume of patients or having a large percent of patients who are very ill or injured at the location may impact your time to be seen.

Will I get a confirmation and a reminder of my time?

Yes. Once you have successfully picked your time, you will get a confirmation on the screen.

You also will receive a text confirmation.

The system wouldn’t give me a spot. What can I do?

If you have a problem with the system or a question about it, call MaineGeneral's Pre-Arrival Unit during regular business hours at 207-626-1050.

Should you go to Express Care or the Emergency Department?

MaineGeneral Express Care is convenient access to health care when your primary care provider is not available and you have non-life-threatening symptoms.

I have a child who needs to go to Express Care. Can I save a spot for them?

Yes, if you are the parent or legal guardian you can save a spot for your minor child. You must accompany the child to the appointment or sign a consent form for someone else to bring the child to the practice in order for the child to be seen.

* Express Care has no emergency services. Do not use Save My Spot if you have chest pain, severe pain, a hard time breathing, weakness or trouble speaking, head injury, severe headache, or other severe symptoms. If you do have these symptoms, please call 911 or go straight to the Emergency Department.
