- Stereotactic Ablated Radiotherapy (SABR) which uses 3-D imaging to target high doses of radiation to the affected area with minimal impact on the surrounding healthy tissues.
Quality Matters
You deserve the highest-quality cancer services. In 2010, the HACCC became one of the first 16 cancer practices in the United States — and the first in Maine — recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) certification program. The HACCC was recertified in 2019.

Affiliations
Maine Cancer Genomics Initiative and Jackson Lab
The HACCC is home to the Maine Cancer Genomics Initiative (MCGI) which is supported by the Harold Alfond Foundation. The MCGI is an alliance of Maine oncology providers, led by researchers at the Jackson Laboratory (JAX), who are focused on improving outcomes for cancer patients across Maine. Test results are discussed monthly at statewide genomic tumor boars.
More than 500 HACCC patients have been helped through this partnership, through clinical trials, access to targeted therapies and novel technology.
MaineHealth Cancer Care Network
The HACCC is a proud partner of the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network, a coordinated system of care with the support of the Harold Alfond Foundation. MaineGeneral Medical Center and the HACCC give you access to cutting-edge research studies and experimental medications, also known as clinical trials, in conjunction with MaineHealth Cancer Care Network.
