Yusuf was in my opinion not only genuinely interested in my over all health and well being...I further believe he was very through in his questioning and assessment of what we should consider moving forward. I found Yusuf to very motivated in his quest to provide an in-depth examination via his intense inquiries to bring to light any indicators that should be addressed. My session with Yusuf was substantive and I departed with a definitive plan in place.

Yusuf Abdi always provides the best care. My family always feels respected, heard and supported.

Dr. Yusuf Abdi is probably the best PCP I have ever had, been seeing him for about 10 years and he is excellent.

The M.A. 's spent more time on dental history and if I felt safe at home than asking health questions. Out of the 40 min appt I say the P. A. For about 10 minutes. Every year it's getting more and more like fast food medicine.

Dr. Yusif Abdai is the best doctor I have ever had.. I am 70 years old and I have seen many. He is very knowlegable, caring, compassionate and listens to every concern. Yusuf Abdi is a wonderful medical provider. I am fortunate to have him in my corner. He is patient, kind, and understand and knowledgeable.

My doctor, Yusuf Abdi was very detailed and thorough in the office. However I never got a follow up call on the results for my emergency EKG or Ultrasound. It has been three days and two of the prescriptions still haven't even been sent to my pharmacy. The two other prescriptions were sent two days after my initial visit and I had to call four times and have three messages sent from the front desk to (according to the front desk staff) his assistant. The front desk staff was awesome and accommodating and worked hard to ensure I got what I needed, including a quick emergency appointment.

Excellent, Yusuf is the best!

The doctor that presided over my care was not my primary care physician but we were familiar with each other because l have seen him in the past and this visit was no exception in the thorough care that was provided. We both recognized each other and it is a positive thing to have more than one doctor who is familiar with you if your PCP has no openings in the time you need to see them. The doctor reviewed my PCP's last visit notes and also questioned me about the things she had noted. I feel very secure with the whole team at Oakland Family Medicine.

I'm very happy with my provider, Yusuf. However, upon entering the office, there seemed to be some sort of meeting going on with 7 staff members and I stood at the window with paperwork and medical card in hand and was completely ignored for some time. Would have been nice if someone had recognized me and said,"We'll be right with you." Rude! Unprofessional! Not impressed!

My visit with Yusuf Abdi was very good. He is thorough, kind, and very gentle. I was impressed with his follow-up telephone call the following day to go over issues that we discussed.

I think all pcp's need to know which medicine can go to the specialist clinic. And which ones can go to their other pharmacy. Mine got held up for hours. And I was very sick.

It was great other than having to wait on hold to speak to a PSR. I waited 30 minutes before they answered the phone. This happens every time I've called.

I just want to say that Yusuf Abdi is a great doctor. He's very caring. He's so knowledgeable. And he always takes the time to talk about any issues and to offer what he knows about any questions or concerns. He's a great doctor.

Yusuf is wonderful but I my wife was late to the appointment and the front desk people couldn't help her get to me.

We ADORE him! He's seen my 4 year old (youngest) since he was only a day or two old. He knows ALL of his medical history and is SO wonderful with all of them. Wouldn't change a thing about this medical practice! We love all of them! From check in to check out, all wonderful people!

I think your facility is wonderful and has many, many positive things about it. The one thing that is so hard, and I know I'm not the only one, is answering and picking up the phone. Not only picking up the phone, but speaking to the patient or person who is calling. Introduce yourself, say where we are calling to verify, and then have an interest in what the patient or person is calling for. I had a very bad experience. I love the doctors that I have gone and the other office people I think are very, very nice.

Everything went great. The specific health issues I'm dealing with are a little bit out of the wheelhouse of a general practitioner. But, that's probably to be expected. I will be seeing some specialists soon I hope. The only thing I wish could be improved, is how long it takes to schedule an appointment. I waited nearly 3 months to have this appointment. I wanted to start addressing my medical issues much sooner. Dr. Abdi is great. I appreciate him very much.

Yes, I'm just leaving this. Everything was excellent at my appointment, but the only thing that I did notice, and it usually does happen, is if I leave with a prescription, it's never really clear if it was ordered or not. And this last time, I was supposed to get prescribed some cream for my face or something, and it was unclear if Yusuf was just going to go grab it, or I was supposed to pick it up. But I had a couple of prescriptions that Yousuf called in, and he hasn't, or I haven't heard from CVS. So this is probably a mix between a review and I should probably call the office.

It's too hard to get an appointment there. I love my primary care person, but this facility does not enable easy appointments at all, and I refuse to go to Express Care.

Yes, the doctor, Yusuf Abdi , was excellent and he's always excellent. He gives you time and everything. The care team seems to be a little overwhelmed along with Autumn, his nurse and all. We're playing phone tag a lot and I'm not able to ask the questions I need as far as like being low in iron and what You know, I told them I needed a blood work before I saw him, blood work, workup and that never happened. And the doctor himself is excellent. I'd give him a 10. I'd give him the four right through the others, but you're talking about the care team. You're not talking about my doctor. My doctor, I'd give a 10. Thank you.

Yusaf was great as was his MA. Check-in/registration is understaffed resulting in long wait time in the office and over the phone. Front end staff were very pleasant and did a good job.

He listened carefully without judgement to my every concern and reflected his understanding back to me with options and solutions. He processed information with lightening speed in a way that I would describe as genius! But beyond that, he made me feel cared for and understood.

was very impressed with the staff, but I always am. They're always there for me. And this time, I didn't get my regular doctor. And I got a doctor that I was very impressed. He was very helpful. He talked with me, made sure I understood everything he was saying to him. And I greatly appreciate it. And if I have to see him again, no doubt in my mind that I will be very pleased even if it isn't my regular doctor.

Very caring and knowledgeable Doctors that take the time to listen and explain. Very happy being in their care.

My only gripe is with Follow My Health and getting messages to my provider in a timely way. It's also annoying when they tell you to go to My Health but don't indicate the subject to choose when you go there so you have to go through everything on the list. Results is the exception.

This was my first appointment with Yusuf Abdi. I was impressed with how much time he spent with me. After a review and discussion It was decided that I would have blood work done before I left the office He is going to follow up with me tomorrow by a phone conversation. He did an excellent evaluation.

It is almost impossible to get in and schedule an appointment with my own doctor. It's the only problem I have.

My previous PCP's office closed so this was my first visit to Oakland Family Medicine. I was very pleased with Yusuf Abdi. He was very thorough, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. Yusuf Abdi called me on a Sunday morning twice to let me know about my test results and that I needed to pick up a new prescription on Monday. I was so impressed with his concern and that he would take the time to call on a Sunday.
