William A. George, MD, FACOG

I was scheduled for an appointment, was given a glucose drink in advance to coming in to cut through the hour long wait time of taking it and was seen to take my blood sugar. I was then sent out into the waiting room for 20 minutes before they took my weight and blood pressure back in a private room and then left alone to wait for another hour. I did not receive any reassurance nor was checked on during this time without having to go to the nurses station to check on how long it would be until I would be seen by my doctor. I asked how long it would be until I would be seen as I had already been there for quite some time and had planned this visit into my busy schedule. I was then told then I was going to be seen next and it shouldn't be long, after 10 more minutes of waiting I went back to the nurses station to let the nurse know of what I had experienced and they had informed me I can make my next appointment before leaving. I don't necessarily blame anyone for these wait times as it was very busy, but if the appointment was made and prepped so that I wouldn't be there for a hour and a half just to only receive a blood sugar test, blood pressure and weight then I would have had a better experience. My top priority when going to my appointments is to check on the health of my baby and I did not receive that.

Dr. George was great.

Dr. George is one of the best doctors that I've seen in a long time. He took time to listen to me. His MA was there also asking questions and they really delved into my health history and made sure they understood what was going on before they offered treatment plans. I would recommend Dr. George to anybody.

It would be nice to offer crackers and juice to someone before discharged from day surgery. People are12+ hours without food.

The MAs and Dr George provided excellent care. Dr George is always very through and explains things in details that are easy to understand. He is very knowledgeable and I feel confident that things are done correctly.

Doctor George was great. He remembered me from my previous pregnancy and was on top of my care. The wait time was a bit ridiculous and the ones at the front desk were part of the other office that they share and was unable to help with scheduling of appointments or anything like that. All they could do was check me in. I am a little frustrated that I was not able to have my ultrasound and then an appointment right after due to the time blocks that it claims to take for the ultrasound. I wish I was able to do everything in one afternoon instead of having to come multiple times in a week to get everything done. It's very frustrating having to take off multiple days and times for appointments when with my last pregnancy, everything could get done in one visit

I wonder why when she saw my name change, she said, name change, did you get divorced or something. When I said, no, I got married, she said well, it is usually the other.

It was really nice to be walked up to my appointment. I do not know the facility well and saved me from getting lost. Thanks for that!

Dr. George is the best doctor in the history of ever, for one. And for two, it's very, very difficult to call this office since it changed over to Maine General. I used to be able to get through to this doctor. I've had the same doctor for over 20 years, Dr. George, and I always was able to get through and get a person, and it was so easy to get an appointment. And now it is so hard to call the doctor's office and get through to somebody and get an appointment without it taking like days to get through. But other than that, Dr. George is the absolute best.

Dr.George is so kind ,caring and he listens.I have been going to him for many ,many years.He is an excellent doctor.I would also like to mention the lady that drawed my blood.She was exceptional!She has a way about her to make you feel at ease.I am not a fan of needles.She did an excellent job and it was so fast I barely felt it

Dr George is a very thorough doctor, you never feel rushed by him at all. I feel Dr George understands all of my medical conditions as a whole not just the OBGYN component. I hope Maine General treats Dr George well because they can't afford to ever lose him!

I have been seeing Dr. George for about the last two years, I believe, and I would highly recommend him to anybody that I know. He is absolutely amazing and all of the office staff that I've ever dealt with are amazing as well.

Too much time waiting for doctor between nurse taking vitals and doctor actually entering the room for the appt. Although I did not feel rushed when doctor was with me discussing my medical information.

There was a long wait between my appointment time and when I saw the doctor. I sat on the examining table for at least half an hour.

I am unsatisfied with having to drive an hour away for an ultrasound appointment.

I was very frustrated in the beginning of this process. My referral was almost a year old before I got a call. I had made several calls myself to confirm that my referral had been received. It had, and I was told Dr. George was merging with Maine General and all of those patients needed to get the appointment slots first for everything that was booked out, which I did understand, however, I felt that the person I spoke with was very dismissive in referring to my condition as, well, it's only whatever it was, and which to her was nothing, but to me I didn't understand. And so I didn't particularly care for that. And it was very frustrating that I had to wait a year for an appointment. I'm really grateful that when I did get a call, they literally got me in the next business decision.

Dr. George was caring, kind and took the time to explain my options related to my miscarriage and be present to answer any concerns I had. His compassionate, knowledgeable care softened the blow of a disappointing situation and equipped me for what to expect and when further care might be needed and when. So glad he could be the doctor to walk through this with us (have had him off and on for 15 years).

William George is ine if the best Doctors I've ever had . My hysterectomy couldn't have gone better. The wait in the exam room after getting partially undressed as directed. Are there not enough exam rooms available for the doctors and patients scheduled? Dr. George aware of my reasons for the exam and explained in detail the procedure he was going to do and the reason for choosing that particular exam. Very concerned that I would understand all that he did.

Team was not aware of medical history as this was my first visit. They were aware of recent ER visits and I feel very comfortable with my upcoming health care with Dr. George.

The medical assistant was so friendly, kind and personable. Dr. George was a breath of fresh air, he had tons of knowledge and was eager to give me information and truly cared about my health.

Dr. George was very thorough in explaining to me what my options are and making sure that I understood them and that I knew that I had options. He could sense that I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and didn't pressure me.
