Therese McCarthy, PMHNP-BC, treats adolescents and adults at Family Medicine Institute in Augusta, Maine as a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She joined the Family Medicine Institute in December 2025. Before joining FMI, she began her nursing career in 2011 as a registered nurse at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta and gained extensive clinical experience in mental health and substance abuse. Since 2018, she has also served as nursing faculty at KVCC, where she has been recognized for fostering student growth and advancing the next generation of nurses.
