I am very impressed with Dr. Aitkens professionalism and also his friendliness and willingness to take the time to explain everything and ask if I understood every aspect of knee replacement. I also liked the staff at the hospital and at the office.

Dr. Aitken was the best. I think the Maine General orthopedic department is excellent. I have been highly recommending them to my friends and family. I have been very satisfied with my care. I am 7 months out from a total knee replacement and my pain is gone and I am getting back to the things I love to do. Great work!

I have always had such a great experience with Dr. Aitken explaining my problems, and the procedures that needed to happen. He also has continued to inform me if he thinks something may change or not. He is a very dedicated and caring Dr., and has a very friendly, personality. I would recommend him to my family and friends. He is also a very valuable Dr. for the patients and Maine General Health.

I arrived for day surgery to fix an ankle fracture. The moment I entered the welcome area I was greeted by happy smiling guides. The nurses and support staff were caring and attentive. What struck me most was how they interacted with each other. True team work. And Dr. Aitken, the best!

I broke my ankle about 8 months ago. The break was bad and needed surgery. Dr. Aitken, the surgical team, and the office staff were to a person positive, friendly, and helpful. The ankle has mended well and I appreciate everything they did to ensure this positive result.

The orthopedic dr. Was much more attentive,gave closer attention to my x-rays & info & formulated a more simple surgical procedure with a very fast surgical date,he was kind courteous and immensely insightful, nothing like my Northern Lights doctor that has had me stuck with unhealed broken legs for the past 13 months. I'm excited about possibly walking again and have something to look forward to, I almost lost hope! Thank you so much
