Dr Aitken is outstanding in my mind. He explains exactly what he did, why he did it, asked me how I was doing asked me if I could do certain things. I can walk, and exercise where I couldn't even walk prior to the operation. I am starting to feel like a human being just a few days after surgery. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know that needs his services.

The staff was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the care I received from appointments to post/pre operation.

Dr. Aitken is such a caring, dedicated surgeon/doctor. I love his personality, as he doesn't hurry you at all, he answers all your questions you have. He certainly is a doctor I recommend to my family and friends.

This was my first time at your hospital. I must say I was very impressed. The staff was amazing very kind compassionate. My Dr Aitken was very amazing. He walked me through everything he was going to do. I saw him three times twice before the procedure and once after I'm very pleased thank you.

Dr. Aitken is extremely knowledgeable and has a great way of explaining everything in a way that is easy to understand. I felt very much at ease with him. And what I really appreciated was that he called me three different times to talk with me regarding what I was going through with my knee. He is very professional and represents MaineGeneral very well.

Yes, I had ankle fixation ORIS surgery and I just wanted to say that both the nurse clinical staff pre and post-op were extremely helpful and timely answering questions whether it was with regard to symptoms, pain, concern for any infection, whatever. Also, Dr. Aitken did a fantastic job educating me in terms of what to expect for healing time, what to use to adjust to my abilities and next steps. And I'm so far extremely pleased with an unfortunate event having a very fortunate outcome. Thank you.

Hi, yeah, I just wanted to say that I thought Dr. Aitken and his team were phenomenal. Not only is he competent and did an excellent job and is really well known for being so competent, he's approachable, he's respectful, he's friendly and his team is the same way. When I had to get a special pain killer for my operation, I had to go and get Gernivax and it took, I can't think of the woman's name that helped me, but the one that always helps with that kind of stuff and did the class. She did like maybe eight calls in one day to finally find a pharmacy that could give me what I needed in the nick of time and that was just, I mean, she went beyond the call of duty. So I think the team is exemplary and I really am grateful for all of you. Thank you. Bye.

Overall, I was very happy with the care I received with my surgical care. However, it did not start out well because the tracking, the application that's used of the patients was not working correctly and I was left in the outpatient surgery waiting room for an hour in pain, in a wheelchair with no support while I watched other patients be taken care of and taken in to the outpatient surgery area. And no one bothered to come over to see why I had been sitting there for so long and did I need anything. However, fortunately, the register person woman came by and wanted to know why I was
