I was very disappointed to find out that this facility is being closed. Dr. Hamzavi is exceptional and has exceptionalism, professionalism, integrity and care for his patients. I think the hospital has made a devastating mistake to close this much needed facility!

You must keep the ophthalmology department!!

I'd like to say im very disappointed that you have decided to close the eye department of the hospital. You are doing a great disservice to the community...especially the elderly and the children. You should feel ashamed of such a greedy cooperate decision.

I Loved the whole team at Dr Hamzavi office and I am very sad that his office is closing. It very had to find a really good Retinal specialist. Now i will have to travel an hour away to see a Retinal Specialist. He was 20 minutes away. Dr Hamzavi was very perfessional and always answered my question . His staff was equally as perfessionl. I wish he didn't have to leave.He will be missed

I had an emergency retina repair Dr. Hamzavi was the best!!! this is not the facility I normally go to , but he was absolutely wonderful. I could not have prayed for a better doctor!! He is 100% an asset to Maine General! Unfortunately, I heard the facilities is closing. That is a great mistake in my opinion.! I could have possibly lost my sight if it wasn't for this faculty. Nearly impossible to find such a wonderful knowledgeable and dedicated doctor! I don't normally go here ,but I would 100% change for this Dr! Thank isn't enough! He's a GEM!!!!

This eye care team at Fairfield and Main General Eye are terrific. Why on earth Main General would close that is beyond me. They are hurting any number of patients and they don't even care. But the eye team is very upset and so are we. So I hope you reconsider opening, keeping the eye care center open. We need the eye care center in Fairfield. There is no other place for us to go like that. Thank you. Bye.

I am very disappointed to learn that this Maine General Eye Care Center will be closing. It was not that long ago that I ended up losing two providers when Inland Hospital closed here in Waterville now I learned that your eye care center is closing. I have always been very happy with the care I received at this center. I'm very disappointed to learn that I will no longer have these providers to assist me. Now I need to go and search out new providers for my eye care, and this is very frustrating. I am not sure why Maine General has decided to close this location, but I think it's a very bad idea. You are leaving not only your patients in the lurch, looking for new services, but you have some truly fine providers, who now,I guess, are going be searching for new jobs. This is a terrible decision when we see rural healthcare all across our state, hell, across our nation, taking a beating from our current government administration. I hope you might reconsider this terrible decision

I had an appointment at 1:15 but I never got to see the doctor until almost 2;00: But he was very good and I liked him and his staff. I think that when you have an appointment you should be on time no matter what the issue is. Thank you.

It's difficult to get appointments scheduled. I find that I have to reach out instead of being called to make an appointment and even then it's difficult to get scheduled-otherwise everything was great

Having shots in your eyes is frightening. Its not an event you're looking for Doctor Hamzavi and his staff are so calm, considerate, and all have empathy for what we are going through. I do not look anxiously for the day I'm scheduled but once in the office they make me as comfortable as possible They work well as a team. .

After dealing with a different medical practice that appeared to have one method of treatment only, he was like a breath of fresh air.He listened to my concerns and coordinated with me to come up with a workable, satisfactory treatment, I can't say enough good things about him. I will continue to utilize his services and would refer him to others.

Waited 45 minutes. We don't like not being able to schedule next appointment. Having a staff person call a day or 2 later & giving us the next appointment. We would prefer to schedule appointment not be told when next appointment is.

Office is efficient and very pleasant. Doctor is the best and completely trust my vision in his care.

I felt very confident being there at the facility. I think this is my mistake and no one else's. I did not ask what I could do to help my condition and it seems like I have no place to go right now to know what I can do to help my dry macula. I was surprised because I was told it was wet and then I went and found it was dry, but I don't have any a further appointment. I don't have any information to go on what I should be doing now. And I think that's my problem for not asking, but I would love to know that answer. Thank you.

I was very disappointed and somewhat alarmed that I was refused being given any information about my visit. I was only given a card and told to call a phone number. I have always received some information about my visit, documentation, which I would turn over to my doctor because I don't live in this state. So I don't think there's any good reason not to give in. And I insisted, and I still didn't get anything. So if this is a new policy, I don't think it's very good. I will have to go to the trouble of calling and asking for information without even a way to know how to reference my visit. Thank you. Goodbye.

It was great!

This visit was a referral for a potentially life changing problem and I was scheduled the next day. I had to have a laser procedure unexpectedly at the visit. I was 100% impressed with how quickly I was scheduled ALL the support staff and especially Dr Hamvazi. I am so thankful to have such a skilled specialist available in our community!!

The doctor and his staff were amazing; however, they could certainly use more people. That doctor had to do all the prep work needed because not enough help. Dr. Hamzavi is fantastic. You're very fortunate to have him.

Great facility to go to wish you were closer and in my insurance plan

They didn't tell me they would be dilating my eyes, and I had to go back in and ask for glasses. I had to drive myself an hr 1/2 home. Also I'm pretty sure I need glasses but that info wasn't shared with me.

Everything went very well. I was seen pretty much at the time of my appointment. I barely waited before being called in for my appointment. The technician was extremely pleasant and explained everything to me as did Dr. Hamzavi. Dr Hamzavi made me feel relax and comfortable just before doing a laser procedure.
