I am saddened to hear that the hospital is closing the Sheridan St. EyeCare office. The people there are so nice and Dr. Nolan is top-tier.

Maine General Eye Care is exceptional!! I am SO upset they are being forced to shut down. Dr. Nolan and his team are so incredible! It is going to be a very hard transition to a different care team and office. Thank you for the many years of care for my children!!

They were absolutely awesome, as they always have been. And I don't believe that there's anybody better in the state of Maine. So wherever they go, we will go.

They've been nothing but awesome & my mom had another Dr for cataract surgery & it was nothing but a positive experience.

Dr. Nolan has been great to both of my children since Dr. Lavin had retired. He's been amazing to them, made sure that they got in for everything, even when the front desk thought that it wasn't supposed to go through.

The service at this facility has been awesome. Dr. Nolan has been great with my daughter. Very disappointed to hear that the entire clinic is being shut down and that we will have to transfer to another provider in southern Maine. This is not only inconvenient travel-wise, but it's also disturbing that we've had this relationship with Dr. Nolan and will no longer be able to have that with him. It's not pleasant that you guys have decided that pediatric eye care is not a priority for Central Maine.

I was told this facility is closing which is very concerning. We are losing quality care and believe this is due to government policies that are forcing these cuts this is terrible for all

We absolutely love Dr. Nolan. He is fantastic and we are deeply saddened to hear that he'll only be working there for three more months. Yeah.

Excellent visit with dr Nolan til we was told your shutting down that office. Finally find doctors that care an now haven to start over again. No happy with maine general management. Too bad u don't care about ur patients.

I was very disappointed to hear the they were closing, this is has been the perfect place to bring my daughter I really hope they reconsider because I hate Portland and Bangor is not the greatest location either. Please reconsider because this place has been amazing!

This was my first time there. The assistant that did preliminary tests and info was great, very personable, caring and efficient. Dr Nolan was patient, thorough and wonderful about testing and working with me on issues and solutions. I am very happy with my care.

I was impressed with how thorough the exam was and both the assistant who did the preliminary part of the appointment and Dr. Nolan were very thorough and pleasant and helpful within the range of what they provide. So I really appreciated it. The only thing that wasn't great was that it took me many, many months to get an appointment but I hadn't been to that office in just about three years. So yeah, so now I will try to get there annually. Thank you.

We had a 11:15 appointment and didn't see the Doctor until 12:15. Was a bit much of a wait time with a Toddler...

I understand that emergencies occur but to leave the office 2 hours after my scheduled appointment is frustrating when I have an hour ride home. When I left everyone except the doctor was gone for the day. I couldn't even schedule my next appointment.

Yes, I totally appreciated all the help I got and all the information I got. I really was, you know, feeling very good when leaving and would like very much to be involved with your office regularly, you know, regularly. They were wonderful. I really, really felt good. Thank you.

During his appointment with Dr. Nolan everyone was so patient and kind. They made him feel as comfortable as possible, and used different techniques and methods to test his eyes that were easier for him to tolerate. Dr. Nolan even made an alternative care plan for his future pupil dilation to better fit his needs! I cannot thank Maine General Eye Center and Dr. Nolan's team enough for tailoring a care plan for him! 10/10 great people who care about their patients.

Dr. Nolan is incredible. The first time I'm able to see straight in 10 years after he did surgery on my eyes. The staff is awesome as well!

The intake nurse was very pushy with my son making several comments that she didn't have time for him and she had other patients to get to. She was very abrupt and inpatient. Dr Nolan is amazing and has always been wonderful he is always patient and works very well with my son. When I said I didn't trust the team it is not him i am referring to

The dr rushed a bit. I felt quite rushed out of the office since it was the last appointment of the day and he was running behind.

Dr. Nolan is a fantastic eye guy. He really listens. his assistant, is also superb. I would not hesitate to recommend them both.

Appointment was scheduled for 8:30. Assistant was on time doing her aspect of the appointment. Waited almost an hour after she finished to see the doctor. He was thorough and took the time to decide how best to proceed. Perhaps less patients scheduled would prevent the excessive wait to see the doctor so he could thoroughly evaluate & assist each patient without the backlog.

Office was running about an hour behind. No mention of it when I checked in ON TIME. My time is valuable too. Letting patients know they are running behind would be the courteous thing to do. Very frustrating!

The care with Michael Nolan was absolutely wonderful. He was energetic, was able to get my daughter's attention, and he excelled in explaining things to me as a parent who didn't exactly know what was going on. When it came to scheduling the appointment, it was very difficult to get it scheduled. The PSR was rude whenever I called following up on a referral, telling me I would never be able to get in because they were short-staffed. I called multiple times on this. And then when they finally found a cancellation that she was able to get in for, she called and said, you're coming at 930 tomorrow at a three o'clock call. There was no discussion on if I would be able to make it. That was when I had to come. Check-in staff was absolutely wonderful. And then the checkout person didn't even ask the patient's name or anything.

I'm very impressed with the way you guys treated my child. You guys were very enjoyable for her. You made her visit fun. She even had a moment where she needs to have eye drops put in her eye, and she does not like any liquid on her face, especially in her eyes. And Dr. Nolan went out of his way to make her feel very comfortable, and he even offered her stickers to kind of help her calm down. I just really appreciate the quality of care that you guys gave us and would 10 out of 10 recommend to the next patient.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. But the wait time to be seen was more than a half hour after my scheduled appointment.

The medical staff was great. Dr. Nolan was amazing, and so was the rest of his care team. As for the registration or front desk staff, they were kind for the most part. But when my daughter's appointment, I called to confirm it. They provided me the date from the wrong year and then proceeded to tell me how it was my fault, and then got mad when I couldn't take the very next available day, which I just found to be very rude. But as for the medical staff, they did a great job. Thank you.

Hello. The doctor was helpful, informed. He was rushed, and I did not have time to ask follow-up questions, not because he wasn't willing to entertain them, but because he didn't invite them, I think, because he was preoccupied with the lateness of the day. But in general, my evaluation is positive. Thanks.

I am just so happy with the staff and my doctor. They are doing the right things by me as I have a rare condition.

The doctor and the nurse that my granddaughter had for her eye exam was extremely patient, extremely well-mannered and tempered and did everything right. It was a very pleasant experience.

They were all very professional.
