The nurse in the recovery room did not have to clap her hands repeatedly to wake me up from anesthesia, which was very annoying and unprofessional!

I have been to maine general on several occasions I have always found the staff to be friendly , professional, and helpful

One year ago (and for 3 years before that) was unable to walk without excruciating pain but I did anyway because it is required in my job. On my days off I only walked what was necessary because it hurt so bad. Today I average a half a mile + more daily than over the past four years. The surgery Dr Neilson performed was nothing short of miraculous! Thank you Dr Neilson and the Maine General Vascular team!

Appointment time was confusing, had to be listed at a different time in the system. Didn't realize for a while until I was told later the time was just a place holder. System kept producing reminders for the incorrect time. I should have been told this would happen.

The nurses and techs were kind and very thorough before the doctor even got there. It was a way more extensive procedure than I expected and I was nervous, but they made me feel comfortable. Then the doctor was able to come in and immediately start the work.

Dr. Neilson was great. Listened to my concerns and answered my questions.

Dr. Neilson is the most knowledgeable on my condition. He always giving me options and tells me the one that would benefit me the most. I have had him for over five years tells me what my numbers are and never lies to me. He's a top notch Dr. And I'm glad mgmc has him. And I hope stays at least until I'm gone.

Dr Neilson was excellant in reviewing my current medical issues with me including drawing a diagram of my current medical issue. He took his time and I didn't feel rushed. He gave me options, making it my choice how to proceed which allowed me to be in charge of my own health care.

The members of the care team were wonderful. They made me feel at ease and obviously knew what they were doing. The procedure went well, and I have had no pain or complications.

Dr. Neilson is awesome! Spoke with honesty, compassion and understanding about my decisions. Included my children in the conversation and helped me to understand the risks versus rewards in having surgery.

The CT Scan staff were super! A++++ I have anxiety and he made sure to go over everything I was about to experience and it really made a huge difference in my appointment! He was friendly and well trained. I'm not afraid of that test any longer. Please note my reaction and be sure to acknowledge that particular dept if appropriate. Also the vascular receptionist team also stand out! Super on the phone! I felt welcomed and accommodated. They definitely treat patients with kindness! A+++

I would prefer that Dr Neilson perform my upcoming procedure rather than the suggested doctor I've never met. I'll be calling scheduling to switch to Dr. Neilson.
