Louise Langlais, FNP-BC, treats patients at the Family Medicine Institute in Augusta. A member of MaineGeneral Medical Center's Professional Services Staff since April 2020, she also serves as a faculty member for the Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency (MDFMR) program. Ms. Langlais has advanced training in domestic violence, strangulation, child abuse, sex trafficking and sexual assault. She is a certified forensic examiner for adult and pediatric populations through Maine’s Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Program and an American Heart Association instructor for basic cardiac life support, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support courses. Before joining MDFMR, she had a 26-year career as a registered nurse in pediatrics, cardio/pulmonary medicine, critical care, medical/surgical care, emergency medicine and medical education. Ms. Langlais is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
