Each of the staff persons I came in contact with during my visit were very nice and personable, but I want to take this opportunity to recognize in particular the woman who checked me in. Unfortunately I don't remember her name but she was exceptionally nice. Her gentle demeanor and personality set an incredibly positive tone followed me through the remainder on my visit. I'll try to find out her name the next time I visit the Center, but until then I hope you are able to ascertain who it is.

I do think removing the cafe as it was,hot meals,friendly staff was a grave mistake at the cancer center.It DID PROVIDE SUPER /NEEDED NUTRITION FOR CANCER PATIENTS -NOW.. "GRAB AND GO"- DOES NOT.

EVERY person with whom I came in contact from entering the Alfond Center until I left was friendly and most helpful. The organization of the Oncology department was truly OUTSTANDING! I certainly will communicate my positive experience to friends and acquaintances.

With all the construction it was confusing of were to go from one area to another and the mouse/critter traps in the waiting area are not appealing. They do not exude a feeling of a sanitized environment for immune compromised individuals. Dr Hathaway did assist and walk me to the exit which was nice for a busy doctor to do.

They really care about you and your health

The people and ,nurses and doctors, are all polite and and the doctors are good in answering questions

It's been a year and the new construction was a bit confusing but it will be wonderful at completion. This facility is an example of good planning. The staff has always presented a nice positive attitude, something so needed for cancer.

From the moment I walked in, I felt that I made the right choice to travel an hour for treatment, instead of having it at a facility closer to my home. I have a few friends who have had treatment here and they said it the staff (clinical and non-clinical) are very friendly and proficient in what they do. I was nervous at first, but felt a sense of calm come over me the longer I was there. I feel with Dr. Hathaway and her team, I am in the very best hands.

Much nicer experience than last time. Wait time was within normal expectations.

Drs Hathaway was very knowledgeable and picked up on things my other oncologist dismissed. Easy to communicate with, IU really appreciate the time she took to review my medical records.

My appointment with Dr. Hathaway was very helpful. She is very attentive to detail. However, afterwards I was left alone in the exam room waiting for 45 minutes for a lab appointment to have blood drawn. No one came to see about me and I had to wander around to find another staff member to direct me to the lab.

It was my first time back in a year to Hematology and I had to ask someone where to check in. Then everything went like clockwork. Will be really nice when all the work is done on the building. The grounds look beautiful and parking was much better. Everyone is very friendly and professional.

The care at the cancer center is fantastic, period. I have real concerns about the care at the hospital, but you're not calling about that. But cancer care, great.

I would just like to add that the staff are really kind and caring and helpful. My only issues have been actually trying to coordinate scheduling at certain times, and I do understand that there's other people involved. So that and I have nothing but good things to say about my doctor, Lindsey Hathaway. I can't give you a 100% rating on recommendations because I know there's several other doctors in the facility and I don't know them. Thank you.

People are helpful,caring, positive.

Was very impressed with the cancer center staff, when a patient in the waiting room suffered a medical emergency. The staff were on it, and in numbers, instantaneously, while other staff attended to the patient's support person. I was particularly impressed that two staff persons stayed with his support person, until he was transported. Well done!

The office was very busy. It took an extra half hour to be seen by the doctor. With that being said the doctor didn't seem rushed and took as much time as I wanted discussing my care.

The only bad thing I have to say is my appt was for 9:20. When I arrived I was told the first part of my appt had been canceled that morning. A phone call would have been what I should have received to let me know not to come til 9:40. After all you did manage to notify me 3 times about my 9:20 appt! Then aa I sit in the waiting room for my now 9:40 appt...which I was called in at 10:10. Not one apology for the delay except by Dr Hathaway. Communication that she was running late would have gone a long way. You expect me to be on time. But you dint seem to care that my time is important too.

I find this center to be very person centered

Dr Hathaway is spectacular. She truly seems invested in not just patient "success", but in the life of both patient and significant other/family. I/we love her candor, her humor. It's always a refreshing interaction in a stressful, and at times debilitating situation.

The staff is great and they care deeply for their patients.

The person who checked me in went out of her way to show me how to get to Hematologist. A really big thank you to her. It would have been so much easier in the stairway if there was a sign saying Hematology. The hematology office always a comfortable atmosphere . Dr. Hathaway is the best doctor I've had to talk to about having porphyria . She's such a look listener and gives you plenty of time. I feel grateful that she's my doctor.

I thought it was odd that when I showed up 15 minutes early ( a lot of offices ask you to do that ), I was told to wait 10 minutes before checking in. I also didn't realize that when the buzzer went off, I wasn't supposed to walk into the blood drawing lab. Everyone was professional and efficient.
