The Maine General Health website and telephone support staff are significantly less supportive and accurate than their MaineHealth counterparts. For instance, the website lists an insurance provider for me that I haven't used for at least five years. I can't get that corrected either online or by calling.

Facility and all staff have been good. The only thing I didn't like was not seeing doctor after surgery and post open instructions. Seems the hospital just wanted to get you discharged fast.

It was a pleasant experience as usual. There is no other hospital or staff that I would go for treatment. The Maine General Hospital is second to none in the state of Maine.

My surgery itself was a horrible experience...I had to wait months for a surgery date feeling incredibly sick ...after my surgery the surgeon never spoke to me to tell me about my gallbladder...my incisions were much larger than they should have been...nurses rushed me out to home trying to beat shift change...overall it was a horrible experience...ESPECIALLY WAIT TIME...I would never recommend

I had a great experience with Dr. Jelenck and Dr Stanhope. I would highly recommend this team for a gall bladder removal. I healed well from surgery and am so grateful to them for helping me feel better.
