I was very impressed that when I came in, they were able to get me in to see a provider. Before that, when I called, there was no availability due to schedule for the doctors there, but was glad that the receptionist was able to see that he had had, obviously, a cancellation and was able to get me in, and I was very pleased with that. And for that, I'm very grateful. And what he did for care, obviously it is helping, and I'm very grateful for that. Thank you very much.

This facility could not provide a better service unless they lived in your home with you! I think that's the best description I can provide that should answer any questions anyone has about the care at this facility. Trust me when I say, I feel like I'm in good hands.

Even though this was my first time visiting as a new patient...I was treated like I had been there for years! What a relief it was to find care that I could walk away feeling like I could trust those that I had just seen and I cannot say enough good things about Joshua Smestad...I feel incredibly blessed to have him as my connection to any future medical care I may need!

I told the nurse that they had requested a colonoscopy at my last appointment and no one had reached out to me. She assured me she would go immediately and find out why I hadn't been called yet and if she couldn't get it done before I left would certainly call me and let me know. it's been two days and of course still have not called me so I'm pretty sure that she forgot to do that

It was my first time meeting Dr. Josh - this was a great "meet and greet". I feel very comfortable with Dr. Josh handling my medical care, I know I am in good hands.

Everyone was fantastic. The place was clean......BUTT the smell of human bodies in the waiting room was not pleasant. I lot of dirty people waiting for service.

The PA who treated me was competent, prepared, and very kind and personable. I had received poor service in the past, but that person has left. I spoke to a nurse when I set up my recent appointment, and she was very helpful.

Joshua was very friendly and caring. The medical assistance did a great job keeping my son calm while getting shots. It was a positive experience. He didn't cry and loved the prizes he got after!

Yeah, it was actually a really great experience. It was really fast. It was very professional, but it didn't feel robotic. I only put three on that one about knowing my history because it didn't really come up. So I was like, well, I don't want to just say yes, but yeah, I did. It was it was a good experience. There was no issues. No hitches went off very quickly. And yeah.

This was my 1st visit and I have never felt comfortable with a male Dr's unless as a surgeon. But I felt extremely comfortable with Josh as he didn't rush me and I felt a real concern for me. Being the 1st visit they hadn't yet known about all my medical for the reason I gave them that one low score. I'm glad I picked Elmwood and hopefully they can get me on track..

Prior to this appointment, I had a very bad experience with the same issue at another facility a year ago which caused me to have anxiety. Almost a year later my cyst came back, and I was reluctant to schedule an appointment. This time my procedure was done at Elmwood Primary. Joshua, the P.A. and his assistant were amazing. They understood my anxiety and talked me through it, also allowing me to change my mind if I needed more time. Because I trusted them and they both made me feel so safe, I allowed them to do the procedure. The only pain I endured was with the needle for numbing any pain which lasted only a few seconds. Joshua and his assistant were both incredibly meticulous and patient, still talking me down throughout the procedure. I would highly recommend Elmwood Primary and staff.

The only minus about some recent visits has been 15 minute+ wait times. When I come to Elmwood Primary Care, I feel comfort in knowing I will get proper care. Most importantly, as part of good communication, I can talk to someone at the office directly. I say this mainly because I've had some less than stellar experiences, most recently with Northern Light; I was a patient at an office I couldn't call directly and could only reach via an off-site call center. They cancelled an appointment -- when I arrived at the appointed time, the office was locked. When I addressed the issue with a receptionist, I was told they left a voicemail, but I never got any messaged and felt they were blaming me. Thank you for your attention to detail and concern for your patients.

Joshua Mestad had an excellent bedside manner and totally put me at ease.

All my issues are being addressed a lot faster than I expected. I'm amazed at how fast my treatment is going.

I am excited to have Josh as my provider. He was attentive, personable, and knowledgeable, and showed a commitment to getting answers to things he didn't immediately know, which is all you can ask for from a provider. I also had bloodwork done and the staff there treated me and conversed with me like an old friend. I have now had two appointments at Elmwood, one virtual and one in person, and every single interaction I've had from check-in to check-out has been positive. Healthcare can be thankless work sometimes, so I want to make sure the staff knows they're doing great work.

I was shocked how nice the staff was to me and my disabled son. The dr was very nice and a great listener. The over all visit here for us was an A+

This is a very busy primary care facility, so I was lucky to snag the last available appointment that day. It was not with my own PCP, but that happens sometimes. Having said that, it is always, always busy and I wonder if Maine General needs to hire more practitioners for this office and maybe even find a larger building to meet the needs of patients.
