The care I received while at the hospital was outstanding. The nurses were always so caring and made me very comfortable. I appreciate all the care they did.

During my hospital stay I had a few doctors and others who checked on me that left me confused as to who my doctor was. The day to day staff ie. nurses and assistants were very helpful and vigilant performing their duties.

I was put right at ease at my appointment. I received a very good explanation of upcoming surgery, and I am confident that I'm in very good hands.

Joshua Hughes is the best person I have ever met. He is caring,passionate, kind, and very intelligent. I just love him to pieces and he knows me well.

staff; terrific, but the systems; not. The preop call was vague, my portal has inaccurate information, (medications, allergy reaction, disease processes), and it differs from what my care giver has in my history, the process of having my information sent to my pcp, who is out of your system, is problematic. The PA I saw on my follow up exam,9/11, was going to rectify the issues in my chart that day, when I saw him. But this has yet to happen, which again, I believe to be a system error.

My doctors and their support staff were all excellent!

I was scheduled to meet with my surgeon and they substituted a PA without telling me in advance. He was a nice guy, courteous, but I am unhappy with the way I've been treated.

I didn't actually see Josh Hughes, I saw another PA. I used to work with Josh, so he may have felt a bit uncomfortable having to poke around my belly. Understandable.

I'm happy with the office visit

Josh was very informative about my post op visit. Kind and took his time. He was not in a rush. He answered my questions thoroughly.

The staff is very nice. Everyone is very helpful. And I would come back, and I did. So I trust you with my care. Thank you. Bye-bye.

This is a great team. I knew what was happening every step of the way. They were kind and professional all at the same time. This hospital is lucky to have this team.

Josh Hughes was a huge help and support for me during my emergency surgery. He treated me like a friend not just a patient. He wanted the absolute best for me and my recovery and made me feel extremely comfortable. HUGE kudos to Joshua!

Professional experience

Absolutely awesome staff in the office and on the unit and surgeon put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable

My experience with the nurses & the P.A., Mr. Hughes was positive. He was thorough in answering all of my questions. However, I never saw or heard from my surgeon after the surgery and the office did NOT call to give advice on diet, etc. I had no details about the surgery or what they found until my 4 week post op appointment. That lack of communication or follow up makes a patient feel like that Maine General surgeons do NOT care about their patients!

The CNA was wonderful. He did a great job. The PAC was pleasant, but I had to ask about something and he saw stitches were still in and needed to be removed. He did, but that should have been noted on the post op paper work. That could have caused infections and me more money for a doctor visit.

I thought the doctor's where absolutely fantastic about my care I was very happy with my care and staff and doctor's I thank you for taking care of me...

Dr Hughes is extremely personable & knowledgeable with all questions posed. Making me comfortable and able to discuss all my oddball questions about my healing after surgery. He is a true asset to your staff!!

Crackerjack team. Great attentiveness and deep knowledge. Communication was crystal clear, appropriate in tone. Everyone was professional yet pleasant. It really gave me confidence in the team and put me at ease. And I'm kind of a tough customer! Thank you very much!

Had the office been more informed about my lack of mobility they wouldn't have had to scramble to obtain a sling and a Hoyer lift.
