I have only one complaint about this experience. And that is how long it took to get the surgery. It was almost 15 weeks from first referral to the actual surgery. In which I needed on the day I got the referral. The hernia progressively got worse and was interfering with my ability to work. Therefore I lost a lot of income. That said. Other than that. I am very happy with the care and outcome.

This was the first time I actually have felt heard literally heard by the doctor and they didn't.And wasn't sitting in front of a computer. He listened to everything I said and completely understood.And I am hoping for good results . Very nice, doctor. Has great bedside manner.

Joshua Hughes has to be the most compassionate and personable practitioner I have seen in a long time! He listened, he spoke to me like he had always known me, and was clear about his care plan. His warm and bubbly personality put me at ease immediately. I wish he could be my PCP permanently. The world needs more like him!

The great care I'm receiving.

I believe that Joshua Hughes was, he was very engaging. He looked me directly in the eye. I was particularly impressed that he was familiar with the hand difficulties I was having and how that might relate to the difficulties for me in my care. The only negative points I gave him that were less than outstanding were the fact that he was going to need to go back to get answers to many of my questions. And that I understood. I believe that's all. I believe Joshua Hughes did a very good job and like I said, I believe he was engaged in my care, which I really appreciated. Thank you very much.

A great, thorough visit!

I was very impressed and pleased with everyone I interacted with regarding my surgery. I can't express how well I felt in the days following the procedure, and I feel that was largely due to the care I was given. My post-op follow up visit was just as positive. I couldn't be happier that a had the procedure done at Maine General Health.

The care I received while at the hospital was outstanding. The nurses were always so caring and made me very comfortable. I appreciate all the care they did.

During my hospital stay I had a few doctors and others who checked on me that left me confused as to who my doctor was. The day to day staff ie. nurses and assistants were very helpful and vigilant performing their duties.

I was put right at ease at my appointment. I received a very good explanation of upcoming surgery, and I am confident that I'm in very good hands.

staff; terrific, but the systems; not. The preop call was vague, my portal has inaccurate information, (medications, allergy reaction, disease processes), and it differs from what my care giver has in my history, the process of having my information sent to my pcp, who is out of your system, is problematic. The PA I saw on my follow up exam,9/11, was going to rectify the issues in my chart that day, when I saw him. But this has yet to happen, which again, I believe to be a system error.

My doctors and their support staff were all excellent!

I was scheduled to meet with my surgeon and they substituted a PA without telling me in advance. He was a nice guy, courteous, but I am unhappy with the way I've been treated.

I didn't actually see Josh Hughes, I saw another PA. I used to work with Josh, so he may have felt a bit uncomfortable having to poke around my belly. Understandable.

I'm happy with the office visit

Josh was very informative about my post op visit. Kind and took his time. He was not in a rush. He answered my questions thoroughly.

This is a great team. I knew what was happening every step of the way. They were kind and professional all at the same time. This hospital is lucky to have this team.

Josh Hughes was a huge help and support for me during my emergency surgery. He treated me like a friend not just a patient. He wanted the absolute best for me and my recovery and made me feel extremely comfortable. HUGE kudos to Joshua!
