Dr. Dunlap seemed very thorough in his exam of my ankle and took the time to explain what he was doing and answer my questions - I really appreciated that. I am currently waiting for an MRI appointment so that he can better know what is happening with me and I hope that ball will get rolling soon. One thing that I feel should be addressed due to the importance of hygiene in a medical facility is that the floor in the exam room was filthy - covered in sand - and I was instructed to walk across it barefoot. This was uncomfortable and rather gross to me, especially not knowing what I was exposing my feet to. I have also experienced extreme uncleanliness at a Maine General ER a couple months ago and I have to say that there really should be a step up in the cleaning protocols at these healthcare facilities, it just isn't right to expose patients to unsanitary conditions.

First time there. I was very impressed on how efficient they were and very pleasant.

Dr. Dunlap was friendly, personable, knowledgeable and discussed my medical problem thoroughly. It was reassuring and I would definitely see him again if the medical need arises.

The hold times when you call the office are far too long.

I was referred by my primary care doctor to see an orthopedic specialist. Instead I was scheduled with a sports medicine doctor. Luckily, the first person who came in the room was a general practitioner. She was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I suffer from osteoporosis of all major joints. The care I have received from Maine General Orthopedics is beyond and standard of excellence I've experienced.

My appointment was for an ultrasound-guided shoulder injection. An assistant to Dr. Dunlap met first with me, went over all the details, answered questions and reviewed risks. When Dr. Dunlap entered the room he was surprised I wasn't wearing a gown--giving me the impression he hadn't even read my file beforehand. The assistant performed the injection; I was impressed with his competence and composure.

I asked many questions and all of them were answered. When I asked a question that stumped the practitioner, he went and found the answer for me. I loved that they explained what was on the US screen and what they were looking for in the picture. Very cool!

The shot did hurt. I had to go to bed and ice it.it started feeling a little better today. So tomorrow l hope I will be ready to go. Everyone was very nice. Thank you.

Hi, I wasn't very impressed with the doctor. You know, I told him what was going on, made me do this, do that, do you feel any pain? Yeah, if I go further back, it hurts. Then out of nowhere, he said, I'll be right back. He walked out, went into the next office and started, the next room and started working on another patient.

Appointment was quick. Everyone was pleasant. Received answered needed

Not good. The Doc couldn't look me in the eye. He actually kept his eyes closed as he was talking to me. Didn't ask me any questions about what I do for a job, did not give me any advice on how to relieve my pain, then sent me on my way. T

Hi, I was very skeptical. I was terrified of the appointment coming up and for having pain, incredible pain. Last night was the first night that I was able to sleep in like months and months and months. I cannot believe it. It's like a miracle. And I was such a chicken or something. I don't know why we didn't do this earlier. Why didn't somebody tell me to do it earlier? Anyway, I really thank your team. I appreciate it. And I hope I don't have to come and see you again for this. Thank you very much.

I felt that trying to establish an appointment and understanding what the expectation was was difficult. Multiple times, I had to put the same information on forms. So should have all been in your system. I have no idea why I had to fill out the forms. I think once I saw the doctor, it was good. But being told by someone with no apparent medical knowledge that, well, protocol is you wait for 10 days, blah, blah, blah, I thought that was useless. Not having any information concerning the review by the specialist of my situation prior to getting an appointment scheduled was disheartening

The staff not only scheduled my next visit when the doctor wanted it, but gave me choices so that it was also a good time for me. The next day, the appointment needed to be changed due to the type of care I need it, but I was still given several possible timeslots for the visit. As I waited for a specialty appointment, I could hear the staff answering phone calls and was very impressed by how they spoke to the patients in a respectful and cheerful voice. although I heard the receptionist speaking, I never heard any personal information about the patient.

Very efficient and quick to get me in and seeing a doc. Happy with my service
