Over all it was a great experience the doctor knew my medical history and even brought up the results of the MRI's that I had and went over them while showing me the pictures. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone and everyone.

Doctor O'Connell is great, so knowledgeable, takes your entire health into consideration, and doesn't rush you. He took the time to examine my joints, he makes eye contact with you when he speaks to you, he does not just focus on a "check list" of questions, and he takes the time to explain about my condition. The team is very considerate of the patient.

I went to three different places for medial help with extreme shoulder pain, before I went to Main Medical. I did not get a diagnosis or help until I went to Dr. OConnell at Maine Medical. He diagnosed the issue very quickly and gave me treatment that alleviated the pain that I had endured for three months. He is a wonderful doctor and I have followed him from Bangor to Lewiston to Augusta. I am so grateful for his excellent medical care.

Dr. O'Connell was knowledgeable and very thorough, reviewing everything that had happened to me in terms of my pneumonia and my situation. He has an understanding of how to treat COVID, I'm sorry, Sargatosis. And I didn't have that much of a feeling of that when I was actually in the hospital. So it was wonderful that I had the appointment with him and I'm extremely grateful.

This was my second time being seen, and it was just as good as the first time, which was definitely 10 out of 10. Eric took his time, explained things, went over different scenarios, asked a lot of questions, and heard my responses. And I've already recommended two people to switch over to this office. So I highly recommend.

Yes, I'm glad you did call because this was my first time at the new location of 242 Civic Center Drive, at least with the rheumatology. And it was perhaps the second time that I've visited with Dr. O'Connell. And I've been very much impressed with him, but it not being the first time. I'm surprised that he's taken to my program with my primary care physician so well. And I like that. I think the team that I'm on is terrific. And it was kind of funny that between his appointment being rescheduled for me, because it seemed like at first it was supposed to be a telephone.

It's so amazing to have a great Lupus doctor who really knows your records and can offer helpful suggestions. I feel like my other doctors just encourage me to go talk to the next doctor who then points the finger back to the first one. I've been getting the run around on some issues that were all clarified during my appointment yesterday. I'm so thankful to have a great rheumatologist. Please take good care of him. They are hard to come by. The receptionist that works for him is also amazing. She helped me get on the portal and she is just a kind person. They make a great team!

We were so impressed with Dr OConnell. He had reviewed my chart before he met with me so was aware that there had been a new cancer diagnosis since my last visit. He spent a lot of time discussing my cancer treatment plan to ensure that the medication he prescribed for me would not interfere with that treatment. He took the time to research the medication to make sure there were no side effects that could make my illness worse. I am so happy to have Dr OConnell on my side.

I guess all the categories should actually be a four. I hit the wrong button on the phone. And I really like Dr. O'Connell. I think he's a great doctor. He's easy to talk to and he always tells me what he's planning on doing and what he's thinking about. And we can talk about it together to see if I want to do it. And the women and the nurses there, starting with the lady at the front desk and the nurses, they're all very friendly and all very nice and they're really helpful. I have no problems at all with going to this office. Thank you.

This was probably one of the best experiences I've had at a doctor's office. Everyone was very friendly and Dr. O'Connell was so thorough in explaining my scans and other tests I've had, trying to connect the dots on my condition. This was the best first meeting with a specialist I have ever had. Dr. O'Connell answered all of my questions and took his time explaining details about my diagnoses. I have spent months trying to get answers about my cancer diagnosis and how it interacts with the fibromyalgia. I love Dr OConnell. First visit and am so impressed. Dr spent an entire hour looking at medical records, scans and X-rays etc. discussed in detail my conditions and his plan to tackle it. So thankful. Great young man !

From reception to medical assistant and Dr. O'Connell, this medical practice is one of the best experiences I've had. All were cheerful and pleasant, caring and knowledgable which gave me great confidence with the care I received. I had to travel two hours to be seen in this practice and it was well worth it. Since my condition is in remission, I want to thank them all wholeheartedly! Keep giving great care!

Dr.O'Connell is exceptional. He is a good listener and very knowledgeable. I have followed him from when he was in Bangor. I drive 1.5 hours each way to see him. That's how important he is to me! I have referred other friends to him but it is hard for them to get an appointment. You need more RA docs!!

With only one rheumatologist on staff, it took more than a year to get an appointment. Other than that, it's all good. Hopefully you are recruiting for at least two more rheumatologists.

What I appreciate is that Dr. O'Connell took time with me, probably 45 minutes, going over everything, options, and see what I could do to make myself better and what he would recommend. He is very, very good. I've been with him quite a long time and I followed him around the state. I like him very much and he is an asset to your facility.

Dr O'Connell is the best doctor I have ever had, and I've seen many, many doctors. He was kind, compassionate, personable, knowledgable, and he answered all of my questions with empathy. In return, he asked all the right questions and explained his findings in a way that made sense and didn't make me feel alienated, disrespected, or like I was making anything up. He made me feel listened to, respected, supported, and taken care of. I wish all doctors were more like Dr O'Connell, genuinely. I can't thank him enough.
