Drew was very helpful he alerted me to gall stones found in a previous appointment that I wasn't aware of. This may explain the symptoms and intense pain I get he gave me a referral so now awaiting the ultra sound

Needing to wait 366 days between annual wellness visits is a problem as we live 6 months in Mexico. Each year the date moves as it is difficult to get appointments. It would be beneficial to have a bit of wiggle room, maybe a 2 week window. Otherwise I'll eventually be out of the country when my wellness visit can be scheduled

It was one of most informative annual checkups that I have had in quite a while. Both Drew and his Medical Assistant Keith were very helpful, answered all my questions.

My P.A. Drew Bois is so wonderful and thorough. He's very friendly and listens to everything intently. He also spends as much time as he has to with you and doesn't rush you out. He's one of the best.

I don't think Drew is very well-versed in senior issues. I don't feel like he listens and considers where I am coming from when I tell him something is hard for me. I told him I had fallen once, he didn't follow up on that. Sometimes he doesn't finish our conversations with important information or ask if I have any questions. On one visit he left the room to take care of another matter (I think) and when he came back he barely uttered an apology. I then asked a question and he told me we had finished that converstion. He concluded that visit by leaving the room to print a prescription but sent it back with the medical assistant. I had no opportunity to ask any follow up questions nor did I know the visit would end so abruptly. I also get the feeling he doesn't like me because I have questions about the changes that occur as a 74 year old person with pre-diabetes.

Medical knowledge seemed to be lacking. The "doctor" seemed to just go along with the diagnosis that I researched on the internet and didn't add much or get to the root cause of my ailment.

Drew Bois is awesome . Love him , I'm very comfortable with him , he's kind, he is thorough and knowledgeable. I can email him with questions and he responds quickly. I left the appointment with clear understanding on labs & imaging that is needed and also a medication adjustment and follow up appointment with Drew. He's great. A keeper! As always with MaineGeneral, I find that from check in to MA , my PCP and to check out .. entire team is phenomenal. I always feel like I'm visiting with family .

On your paperwork that says where to call to get an appointment and all that kind of stuff, it's got that, I think it's 8800 on it. That is ridiculous. You can't even ever get anybody on that line. You put it on speaker phone, lay it there for half an hour before somebody will answer it. I've left it sat there 45 minutes before nobody answered it. That irritates me and I've mentioned it to them when I've been in there before and they know that's the way it is. They can't do nothing about it. That's the thing that irritates me the most. Drew Bois was excellent and spent ample time with my 93 year-old father-in-law. He was patient, listened well, and put up with both of us adding our input in a professional manner. He has followed up on meds, referrals to specialists, and action items for us. Thank you all!

I gave you a 9 for recommending to others to use Maine General. Where could we go if not the only local Hospital and the office affiliated with that. It's way better than any other place. I enjoy having the convenience of local health care in the same location. I am grateful for the opportunity to work on my own health issues with the local health care community. Thank you.

Okay, this was my first appointment with Augusta Family Medicine, first time I met Drew, and everybody from the beginning to the end was very good, very nice. Everybody's very honest and apologetic if it was late, etc. And I didn't see any problem whatsoever with the service or with Drew or anything like that. Again, it's new and we're getting to know each other. So I guess that's about it. I think my, yeah, never mind. Yeah, yeah, so everything's good at this point. I'm happy. Thank you. I'm done.

The only negative about my visit was having the nurse give me paperwork on a Covid shot, not for the flu shot which I did receive She did bring me the correct paperwork after I caught the error

Perhaps consider trauma informed approaches to treating patients, particularly when examining letting the patient know when and where the examiner will need to touch them beforehand
