My appointment was originally at 7 AM. I received a letter in the mail stating it had been changed to 7:40 AM. I arrived around 7:20. I was brought back to a room around 7:35 AM. The provider didn't come in until 8:15. I realize her time is valuable, but mine is too. Changing the appointment time to 7:40 meant I would be late to work, but I was ok with that, however, waiting 30 minutes to actually SEE the provider was disappointing & frustrating & caused me to miss even more work.

Check-in/check-out staff, Jordan (Medical Assistant) and Christina (Physician Assistant) all provided mindful and extraordinary care! I'm grateful to be a patient of MaineGeneral.

Appointment time was delayed due to scheduling and lack of staffing to cover adequately. Errors in billing still overshadow and exceed the time allowed for direct care causing one to not want to work within the system. Knowing a person is going to spend hours to undo the effects of one visit administrative snafus, causes an overall negative impress of the whole practice.

It is clear to me that the insurance company has fully taken over. What is the point of having a physical, I cannot discuss problems with my health?

I think how would it be very helpful to look at the whole person, the whole body and soul, spirit, mind to deal with the whole person would be very helpful. And I thought Christina Brooks was very kind and very positive and had some good information. Yeah, so thank you very much.

Very positive experience for a first appointment.

I requested an appointment via the portal and got an immediate response and an appointment the next day. Staff and my provider are wonderful. Always listen to, and address, my concerns.

I don't feel like my issue was listened to and was blown off.

Because my Augusta Family Medicine is connected to Maine General, the next day I got a call to set up a follow up appointment. They were wonderful and helpful while handling many people at once.

My first visit went better than I thought it would go. I believe I'm going to get alone with my new doctor

I don't think annual exams do anything for me. At other practices I've gone to, they do an actual FULL exam. This one is ridiculous. They don't check much of anything and it's honestly a waste of time. I feel like the issues I'm concerned about are dismissed and I don't need anyone to tell me what I should be eating/doing...I know what I should be doing. It's ACTUALLY DOING IT that's the problem. It's really disappointing because I work for this system and I don't think the level of care is good.

The staff and practitioner were excellent but the physical did not seem very thorough. I don't believe the practitioner is responsible for this but it seems the protocol had them focus on mental health and the potential for addiction or abuse at home. As an adult I would let someone know if I had such concerns or needed help in those areas. My prior physician who ran his own practice would do a complete physical exam including prostate. Again, the practitioner I had was great overall but the physical focused less on the physical/anatomical and felt much more like a psychiatric evaluation.

This was my first visit with Christina Brooks who replaced Dr. McKay. I found her to be patient, interested and asked questions to better determine my concerns and condition. It's always an adjustment establishing a relationship with a new provider, but after one visit I feel confident that this will be a smooth transition and my future concerns will be considered thoughtfully.

Christina Brooks was exceptional. She listens and makes sure you get the care you're requesting. I hope she stays on as I want to continue seeing her for my medical needs.

Friendly, knowledgeable and communicative. She answered my questions and was willing to take the time to investigate those that needed more information.

This was a 3-mo. diabetes follow-up so limited time. Had a different medical assistant this time, so was not exposed to a militant, obnoxious person who believed disrespecting older persons was her right and duty. Most of my complaints to my primary care were due to billing errors in co-pays that have persisted for several years. Please adequately train the coding staff. Most of my medical conditions are with me to the end, so I am not the best person to speak to whether my care is adequate. None of the classes that may help are scheduled during daylight so I can attend. For over thirty years I have had diabetes and have never consulted an endocrinologist. I spoke to a P.A. once who wanted to over medicate me. The side effects of the new weight loss drugs are very dangerous. Thanks for listening. dp

The primary focus of my appt was to ensure I knew how to use newly ordered knee and back braces.

She was very patient and kind with me considering I was quite anxious about the whole experience

My appt was at 3, I was seen by the practitioner at 4, she seemed disengaged. She asked me a few questions and then had me sit on the table where she looked in my ears and throat listened to my lungs and belly. It took all of 2 mins. What happened to checking people for bad moles or doing a breast exam. She asked if I had any moles I was concerned about but I can't see my back? She never checked me out.Physicals just aren't like they used to be and when I left I felt like it was a huge waste of time.
