I have never in all of my years met a physician as knowledgable or as analytical as Dr. Jacobs. The entire experience was elegant. His presentation to me was heart felt and caring. You could see it in his face and manerisms. I'm so glad that he is my physician. I feel safe as can be with him advising me.Maine General should be proud to have a Doctor and gentleman of this stature on their staff.

My appointment was booked 11 months out.

Staff were all very pleasant and Dr. Jacobs was great, taking time to discuss my condition and answering all my questions.

Dr. Jacob was very thorough and went over test results with me in detail and answered my questions well.

I was told it could be at least a year's wait to see Dr. Jacob's and indeed it was or there about. Once seen on O8/10/26, Dr. J's attention, care, and recommendations were excellent, caring and concise. It's difficult to recommend MGMC more than a 7 due to continuing delays of typically 1.5 to 3 months for appts.

Dr Jacobs is thorough and knowledgeable, as well as personable and caring. He does a great job with explaining complex information and answering questions. He is patient and respectful. I feel like I am not alone in managing my kidney disorder.

It was welcoming, nice atmosphere throughout, helpful. Dr. Jacobs, Nephrologist was phenomenal, medically speaking, and personality wise.

Dr. Jacobs is the best, and selfishly, I hope he doesn't retire anytime soon. He explains things clearly and never talks down if I need further clarification. I would give him 10 stars if possible.

Dr Jacobs is a class act. He explains things about my condition in way that puts me at ease. Always checks to make sure that I understand the pros and cons of each option for my care. I have seen him for a number of years and we review where we started and what lies ahead.

Over a year from original schedule visit, dr Jacobs more informative and simple to make clearer choices for plan of care and treatment and preventative development of renal stenosis and hypertension. Alleviated fears.

Dr. Jacobs clearly has a high level of expertise in nephrology. He also has good provider/patient skills. He provides thorough information about test results, their affect on disease status and treatment recommendations. He provides information clearly and with empathy. He listens patiently and responds to questions thoughtfully, thoroughly and compassionately. He discusses with the patient when the next appointment should occur. He is an example of what every physician should aspire to be and what every patient is lucky to find in today's world of largely inadequate health care.

Yes, my appointment went very, very smoothly. The doctor was very, very knowledgeable. It appears that he came in just recently to the hospital, but he's doing a great job. He explains everything. I'm very comfortable with him, and it's nice to see that I have somebody that can relate to me, knows my condition, and knows how to approach it.
