We both felt extremely supported when we came to the appointment yesterday. Dr. Smith was able to clean out both ear canals and it resolved the problem of intense deafness. I am so grateful to Maine Dartmouth Geriatric Center.

Very professional nurses and doctor. I felt very comfortable visiting with the doctor. This encouraged me to speak honestly and openly. I have seen a few doctors before and still felt "in the dark" about my condition. She explained everything very clearly and encouraged me to ask questions. I am glad I had this appointment.

Dr Carlen Smith continues to provide amazing care to both my husband and me. Not only is she a skilled & knowledgeable diagnostician, she is insightful, compassionate, and responsive. Having her as our PCP is indeed fortunate for us. We appreciate the entire staff !

Every geriatric person should be able to have a team like this. Unfortunately they are not taking any new patients so many of my friends are not treated by teams who understand the medical needs of people over 60. Also the doors to clinic are heavy and hard to open especially for those of who use walkers, canes and wheelchairs.

Dr. Smith takes great care in connecting with her patients and their families. She listens to their concerns, asks questions to garner a deeper understanding, and then takes the time to engage the patient and family in the decision making process. Our family is grateful that Dr. Smith has been part of our father's care team. She has become a trusted resource during a complicated, emotional, and stressful time.
