I am always happy the service I receive at the Gardiner Express Care. The PA I met with asked lots of questions and really tried to get to the bottom of the mystery behind my swollen eyelid. She speculated that it might be an infection under the eyelid or allergic reaction. She called in an RX for an antibiotic and talked with me about options for treating my allergy symptoms. The swelling and pain have subsided some in the last few days. It was important for me that she could confirm it wasn't something more serious like cellulitis or shingles and I left with less worry. I was grateful for her help.

Everyone was very helpful and professional. When I had questions a few days later about my care, someone from the team called me back right away. They listened to my concerns and were very helpful and kind. I always feel very comfortable going to this express care.

My experience. As always was pretty good. Unfortunately, they couldn't diagnose. What was wrong other than possibly an insect bite? So I have to wait and see if anything else develops other than that? I received pretty good level of care.

After experiencing stroke-like symptoms, I initially called my PCP's office to see if they had an opening. They said they did but by the time they finished the screening questions the openings had closed. Then they recommended me to go to ExpressCare in the same building. I then went to ExpressCare to relay the exact same symptoms and be told that I needed to go directly to the Emergency Department. Which would not have been a problem except I had been advised to go somewhere that didn't see me but just told me to go to the ED and has the gall to charge me, which I fully hope they won't. This is especially aggravating because I am being charged for help I really didn't receive and for going to a facility I was told to go to. When I did make it to the ED, I was triaged at Tier 3, and constantly (and understandably, I was not the most serious issue that severely under-staffed ED was dealing with at that moment) had my wait extended constantly to the point that I found it more productive to simply go home and call to receive the stat lab results I should have already been informed of, and to get referrals/schedule appointments for the specialty practices I knew I needed to see. While it's understandable that there's severe understaffing, I find it hard to explain having an understaffed Emergency Department with only two working providers. Not to mention not having anything be the same between any two office. Each has their own unique requirements makes things slow, bureaucratic, and unproductive and results in excessive time and money spent on my part in redundant referrals and appointments. Lastly; it's clear that while MaineGeneral does have an excellent culture, I can also see that emergency services are not prioritized and makes myself as the patient feel it's more worth my time to just take my health into my own hands and make the calls I've got to make.

Yeah, the nurse was very nice, but I am disappointed that we never found out what I have. And on top of that, I'm on a antibiotic that I can't get off of now, and that I may have not needed to take in the first place. Several times, the research that I did was mentioned. I don't know how professional that is. It's very transparent. general like we live in a day and age where I can do research too. I kind of head and when I went for professional help I felt like we were on the same page and that's a strange feeling. Other than that have a great day guys.

This doctor that my son saw gave me very wrong information, made me feel like an idiot, looked at me and said he had an ear infection, went to the hospital when in fact he did not have an ear infection. It just all around was a really bad experience. She jumped the gun on stuff. I would not ever want this doctor again.

The wait time was absolutely ridiculous. 3 hours for a basic service is far too long. There was nothing express about that. I will say my provider was fantastic though.

It was my first time at this facility. I found the waiting room to be comfortable. I was s little nervous The PA was as kind and gentle as possible. Showed me the best way to bandage my wound requested a prescription from the pharmacy and clearly said if it did not get any better to call them. Great experience.

The experience was followed up by staff checking in, telling me about my culture, and then the physician assistant also called the next day to check on, to see how I was doing, if I had any questions, and I felt followed and watched after and cared for. So not just quick in for the visit and out for the next patient, but following to make sure that things were progressing in a positive way. So that was reassuring. It's a great service, having express care.

When I come in complaining of muscle pain they wanna send me everywhere for every test under the sun! Luckily I have mainecare but it I didn't the X-rays and everything else would've costed an arm and a leg for tests unrelated to my injury! I'm having muscle spasms and instead of being heard a million tests are being run on my heart, being heard and treated for what I say makes more sense to me, I walk around with my body I know my body and instead of being heard and establishing a plan based off what I said I had to go get a test for blood clots, come on now

I feel I was misdiagnosed, because my symptoms are the flu not upper respiratory infection. Was not happy, and they refused to do a flu test even though they should have.

This was a very disappointing experience. A procedure (removing a a small hearing aid device from my left ear) - took forever. Successful procedure taking less than one minute took an hour and a half to complete.

I never have had an unsatisfactory experience at MaineGeneral Express Care. I've been seen promptly, had adequate time with a HCP, had my issues addressed, and provided adequate information to care for myself when I left. I intentionally choose MaineGeneral Express Care when seeing my PCP is not possible.
