Alexander Mayer, MD, is residency-trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery and fellowship-trained in aesthetic surgery. The staff was well aware of the fact that I was a teacher in the school department. And when I saw an opening, went right to call me and think of me first. The doctor is very caring and very open to any kind of questions or suggestions that you have. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience with this office.

So Alexander Mayer actually did what he could and at the best he could to make sure that my experience was worth going to and worth experiencing some of discomfort from the surgery. And he did really well. I don't have issues and I actually enjoy visiting him. He seems to really care about his patients and that is very hard to find in any practice currently. So props to Alexander Mayer for doing a really good job and for being really good to his patients.

It would be desirable to have increased transparency in regard to cost of services. It's a mystery what my procedure will costc, even now 3 days after it. I do have insurance but I expect to bear the full coat given the deductible. Had a similar surgery at the hospital in Bangor, they told me the cost and offered a discount for direct payment.

Even though I was late they were able to make an exception because of the weather and I live a little over 5 hours away and I am in a wheelchair. Once back in the room they were very speedy coming in to see me and was very knowledgeable about my rare health conditions and was able to find a way to work around them so I can have positive results when I go in for my procedure. Very excepting and caring. Fully recommend.

The visit with Dr. Mayer went very well. I'm well satisfied with the entire visit. My only criticism has nothing to do with that visit. It's going to the emergency room and having to sit around for three hours waiting for results and never getting them. That didn't go over too well. I went to Togus later and got everything taken care of. Bye.

I always get the best care at Mainegeneral. I am having a procedure soon and it's at Maine Health you have no idea how much I do not like it isn't being done at Mainegeneral. You need to hire a good proctologist.
