Dr. Balwan is a fellowship-trained pulmonary and critical care specialist who treats patients at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta as a member of the MaineGeneral Pulmonary medical staff. He specializes in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures such as endobronchial ultrasound, navigation bronchoscopies, rigid bronchoscopies and endobronchial tumor ablation. These interventions help in accurate diagnosis of lung cancer and treatment of symptoms of advanced lung cancer. Rapid diagnosis and initiation of treatment for lung cancer are priority at our center. A member of MaineGeneral Medical Center's (MGMC) active staff, Dr. Balwan established his practice locally in July 2016 after completing a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He is accepting new patients by referral.
