- Athletic trainers frequently encounter patients with musculoskeletal dysfunctions in both the upper and lower extremities, as well as the lumbar spine. While joint mobilization techniques are widely used, there is often a lack of comprehensive, evidence-based training on the safe and effective application of these techniques, especially when integrated with osteopathic manipulative techniques (OMT) for the low back.
- By participating in this program, the viewer will review clinical indications, contraindications, technique selection, and proper application to improve patient outcomes and reduce recovery time. As well, be better equipped to apply mobilization and OMT techniques in a safe, evidence-informed manner.
