- Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy (OMT) is widely used for treating orthopedic injuries as well as chronic conditions. More recently, it has been used in the treatment of concussions to improve symptoms and reduce time lost.
- As athletic trainers, we need to be aware of how this therapy can be integrated into our practices and understand the benefits and limitations of this treatment for our patients. This program will cover what OMT is, who can use it, and when it is beneficial to refer and athlete for OMT.
