We are excited to announce that the first baby born in 2026 at MaineGeneral was also the first in Maine! Courtney and Cody Fortier welcomed their newborn daughter, Elliot Rebecca Fortier, Thursday at 12:53 a.m. on New Year’s Day. As Lisbon residents they could have chosen a hospital closer to their home, but with a family connection in Maternity and the wonderful care they received during the birth of their first child, they knew there was only one place they wanted to have Elliot. Congratulations to the Fortier family and thank you, Maternity staff, for always giving the best care around!
