Community Health Needs Assessment

Maine is one of the few states in the nation that conducts a shared public-private statewide community health needs assessment (CHNA). The Maine Shared CHNA was born out of a unique partnership involving MaineGeneral Health, Northern Light Health, Central Maine Healthcare and MaineHealth.

The Maine Shared CHNA coordinates state and county needs assessments to meet the needs of hospitals, to support state and local public health accreditation efforts, and to provide valuable population health assessment data for a wide variety of organizations across Maine.

Our vision is to turn data into action so that Maine will become the healthiest state in the nation.
