I want to ...

Sue A.

I graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. I was attracted to working in homecare because I love working with the seniors who make up a large part of our population.

I enjoy being in the community and working with people and families in their own environment because I gain a more holistic view of a person and their life. I love working with older people because I feel it is my opportunity to give back.

Our seniors have given so much to others and their communities and I feel this is my way of showing them the appreciation and respect I feel for them.

I was drawn to the social work profession because I wanted to make a positive difference in the world and help people facing difficult medical issues. I feel it’s a valuable and fulfilling way to make a difference in the lives of others.
