Our team consists of certified athletic trainers, occupational and physical therapists and other medical professionals.

We are part of an extensive network of related health care professionals who specialize in caring for injured athletes.

Angie Duplessis, MEd, ATC

Angie joined the staff in 2004. She has bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Maine at Orono and worked at Bucksport High School for seven years after she completed her degree programs. Assigned to Winslow High School, Angie also serves as vice president for the Maine Athletic Trainers Association (MATA) and is a member of its public relations committee.

Brad has a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Plymouth State University. He first joined our staff in 2002 and rejoined the staff in 2008. He is assigned to Waterville Senior High and Middle Schools and also serves as treasurer for the MATA.

 

Rich Garini, ATC, CEAS

Rich joined the staff in July 2007. He received his bachelor's degrees in exercise science with a concentration in athletic training from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 1993. His previous experience includes providing clinical rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting as well as athletic training coverage for high schools. Rich has provided athletic training coverage for international cycling events, Olympic paddling world qualifying events and IPRA rodeos. He is assigned to Monmouth Academy, Maranacook Community School and Winthrop High School.

Jill joined the Sports Medicine team in July 2001.

She has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of New Hampshire in Durham and a master's degree in health science from Springfield College in Springfield, MA.

Jill is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She works with student athletes at Hall-Dale High and Middle Schools in Farmingdale.

She also participates in the educational process of family medicine residents at the Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency program during orthopedic rotations and sports medicine electives.

Alycia joined the Sports Medicine team in August 2012.

She has a bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of Maine in Orono and is a Maine licensed athletic trainer and a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). She also has a certificate in teaching physical education and health.

Alycia is assigned to provide athletic training services to Cony High and Middle Schools in Augusta.

Chris serves as the program manager for MaineGeneral Sports Medicine and has worked for MaineGeneral Medical Center since September 1990.

He received his bachelor's degree in sports medicine from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA and completed his master's degree from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD.

Chris currently provides athletic training services to Erskine Academy in South China, the University of Maine at Augusta and within the Augusta and Waterville communities.

He also serves on the Maine Principals Association's Sports Medicine Committee and the board of the Maine Concussion Management Initiative.

J.P. joined the Sports Medicine team in May 2010.

He has a bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of Maine in Orono, ME in 2009 and is a Maine licensed athletic trainer and a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA).

J.P. also is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

He is assigned to provide athletic training services to Gardiner Area High School and Richmond High and Middle Schools.

Nick joined the Sports Medicine staff in 2005.

He has a bachelor's degree in health science from Johnson State College in Johnson, VT, and is a Maine licensed athletic trainer and a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA).

Nick also is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

He is assigned to provide athletic training services to Messalonskee High and Middle Schools.

A certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA), Steve has a bachelor's degree in physical education-teaching from Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, VT and a master's degree in physical education-athletic training from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.

Employed by MaineGeneral since 1992, Steve provides athletic training services to Lawrence High and Junior High Schools in Fairfield.

Anthony Mancini, MD
Dr. Mancini is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, RI and the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, VT.

He completed a five-year residency in orthopedics at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA and a sports medicine fellowship at The New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA.

Dr. Mancini joined the orthopedic team at Augusta Orthopaedic Associates in 1992, where he specializes in sports medicine, shoulder and arthroscopic surgery and general orthopedics.

 

Chris Lutrzykowski, MD
Dr. Lutrzykowski earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from the Maine Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency program.

He also completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, MA.

He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with added qualifications in sports medicine and specializes in non-operative sports medicine, including orthopedics, concussion management, female athletes and athletes with cardiac issues.

 

James Dunlap, MD
Dr. Dunlap earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas, NV and completed family medicine residency training and a sports medicine fellowship at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA.

He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with added qualifications in sports medicine. He specializes in non-operative sports medicine, including orthopedics, concussion management, female athletes and athletes with cardiac issues.


 

David Lemos, MD
Dr. Lemos earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. He completed his orthopedic residency training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Detroit Medical Center in Warren, MI.

He also completed fellowship training in foot and ankle orthopedics at Michigan International Foot & Ankle Center in Pontiac, MI. Dr. Lemos specializes in sports medicine, shoulder and arthoscopic surgery, orthopedic foot and ankle surgery and general orthopedics.


 

Mark Wright, PA-C
Mark Wright is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine's Physician Assistant Program in New Haven, CT and has a master's degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in Chicago, IL.

He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Mark works with Dr. Anthony Mancini in the care and treatment of patients with orthopedic injuries.
