MaineGeneral Hospice participates in a national survey, the Family Evaluation of Hospice Care. This survey provides valuable data about our care and services as rated by our patients' families.

Highlights of recent results include:
  • 100 percent of families would recommend MaineGeneral Hospice to others. 

  • 98.2 percent of families rated having the right amount of religious/spiritual support.

  • 100 percent of families felt they had enough information/education on how to care for their loved one.

  • 100 percent of patients/families felt they were treated with respect.

is committed to responding to your needs.

Last fiscal year, we admitted 90 percent of our patients within 24 hours of learning of their need (or at a time that worked best for the patient and family).

When needed, we visit patients the same day they leave the hospital. This is important because we understand this day can be difficult.

We are there to "tuck our patients in" and make sure they have what they need to be comfortable, starting with the first day they're home.
