Community Cancer Program

The Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care is designated as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program (CHCCP).

A CHCCP designation is given to a facility that treats 650 or more newly diagnosed cancer patients each year and provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services that are available on site or by referral.

The members of the medical staff are board certified in the major medical specialties, including oncology where available.

Participation in clinical research is required. Participation in the training of resident physicians is optional.
