Our programs help with emotional, financial and spiritual support on a daily basis.
Patients and their families also have access to books, periodicals, videotapes and computer databases through the hospital's lending libraries in Augusta and Waterville.
MaineGeneral offers a number of support groups for cancer survivors and those living with cancer.
These include a Bosom Buddies breast cancer support group, a prostate cancer support group, a general cancer support group, a lung cancer support group and a partner/caregiver support group.
Survivorship Training and Rehab (STAR) Program
MaineGeneral Medical Center is the only hospital in Maine to offer nationally recognized, certified rehabilitation services to patients suffering the side effects of cancer treatment.
