Visitation
Visitors arriving before 5 a.m. and after 8 p.m. must enter the medical center through the emergency department as other entrances will be locked. We welcome at any time visits by anyone our patients would like to see.

Medical/Surgical Units: Located on the first and third floors.

Critical Care Units: Located on the first floor.

Pediatric Unit: Located on the fifth floor. Parents are welcome to stay and participate in their child's care. We also permit overnight stays which can be arranged with the nurse on duty.

Maternity Unit: Located on the fifth floor.

Mental Health & Substance Abuse: To maintain patient confidentiality, information about patients on this unit is not available through the Information Desk. All visitors are asked to stop at the unit nurses' station upon arrival.
Waiting for Someone in Surgery
MGMC has a waiting area on the third floor near the surgical suite. A receptionist is located in the Same Day Surgery area who can help with inquiries regarding the status of a surgical patient.
Beepers are available if family members choose to leave the surgical area for a short time.
The Same Day Surgery reception desk is staffed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until the last patient for the day is discharged from the department.

ATM: An ATM machine is located in the lobby.

Gift Shop: Located in the main lobby, the gift shop sells magazines, cards, candy, novelties, flowers and other items. It is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Meals & Snacks: Guests and visitors are invited to use the medical center's cafeteria which is located on the lobby level next to the south elevators.
The cafeteria is open seven days a week, including holidays, from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Vending machines for cold sandwiches, soda and snacks are available just outside the cafeteria seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Other Services

Ethics Committee: If you have questions or concerns about major health care treatment decisions for a family member or significant other who can no longer make these choices, the Ethics Advisory Committee can help by discussing these issues with family members and others involved.
Ask your nurse for more information.

Interpreter Services: These services are available for sign language and several foreign languages.
