Visitors arriving before 5 a.m. and after 8 p.m. must enter the medical center through the emergency department as other entrances will be locked. We welcome at any time visits by anyone our patients would like to see.

  • Medical/Surgical Units: Located on the first and third floors.

  • Maternity Unit: Located on the fifth floor.

  • Mental Health & Substance Abuse: To maintain patient confidentiality, information about patients on this unit is not available through the Information Desk. All visitors are asked to stop at the unit nurses' station upon arrival.

Waiting for Someone in Surgery

MGMC has a waiting area on the third floor near the surgical suite. A receptionist is located in the Same Day Surgery area who can help with inquiries regarding the status of a surgical patient.

Beepers are available if family members choose to leave the surgical area for a short time.

The Same Day Surgery reception desk is staffed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or until the last patient for the day is discharged from the department.
