Staff Support & Family Involvement

It takes a gifted and flexible staff to handle a variety of personalities and situations.

Staff members learn the background, personality and interests of each resident to help him or her feel as comfortable as possible in their new home.

They also receive training in the "Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer's Care.™"

We understand that silent companionship, a warm hug and the ability to listen are sometimes more effective than the spoken word.

Families participate fully in the program of care. They are an integral part of the center's work and are our link to the history and character of our residents.

We also offer regular support groups for family members to discuss concerns and share information.
