Food and Nutrition
We provide optimal nutrition for our residents, based on nutrition care needs and preferences.
Each resident "neighborhoods" provides intimate, family-style dining; restaurant-style dining is available in our café. Kitchenettes also are accessible 24 hours a day.
A registered diet technician and dietitian provide nutritional evaluation and consultation.
Housekeeping and Laundry
Our housekeeping staff takes great pride in providing a clean and safe environment.
When a new resident moves in, the team greets him or her and family members with balloons and a card with a picture of the housekeeper with whom the resident and family will interact.
Glenridge provides a full-service laundry free of charge, seven days a week.
The staff labels residents' laundry for identification purposes and to help keep it from getting lost or misplaced.
Therapy Services
We offer occupational, physical and speech therapy to improve or maintain our resident functioning levels.
Our therapists provide expert treatment while being mindful of the special communication and cognitive challenges of people with dementia.
To help enhance therapy, our nursing staff offers restorative services, such as walking, range of motion exercises and fine motor skill activities.
Restorative services also are available for residents who have not received therapy but could benefit from them.
Discharge Planning
Our nursing staff and therapists encourage residents to be as independent as possible with daily functions, so they can return home, if appropriate.
When that time comes, our social workers work closely with families to ensure the transition to home goes smoothly.
End-of-Life Care
Our staff provides end-of-life care and bereavement services for residents and their families.
We work with HealthReach Hospice and other hospice providers to offer palliative (comfort) care to make life's most difficult transition a little easier.
Services include pastoral care, massage therapy, pain management, soothing music, helpful reading material and aromatherapy.
