We care for more than 14 percent of Maine's cancer population and see more than 7,000 individuals with a cancer diagnosis annually, including more than 1,000 newly diagnosed cases.

We treat a wide range of cancer types including breast, colorectal, genitourinary (including prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular and penile), gynecological, lung and skin.

Our highly skilled and experienced staff — combined with our state-of-the-art facility and technology — allow us to provide patients with the best care possible close to home.  

MaineGeneral also has an established clinical research program with the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, an affiliation that gives patients access to newly approved treatments.

Our cancer services extend beyond the medical care we provide.

This service is provided from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Patients interested in receiving a treatment should tell their chemotherapy nurse.

Treatments last about 45 minutes and cost $25 per treatment, due at the time of service.

This service is provided by a private practitioner.

MaineGeneral makes every effort to offer services to patients regardless of their ability to pay.
