MaineGeneral offers orthopedic services at 107 FirstPark Drive in Oakland through MaineGeneral Orthopedics.
John Thaller, MD, a wrist specialist, sees patients there two days a week and general orthopedic surgeons Jose Ramirez, MD, Marc Golden, DO and Catherine Meikle, MD see patients there full-time.
The practice has direct access to MaineGeneral's digital X-ray technology and rehabilitation services.
MaineGeneral also offers rehabilitation services at FirstPark, since many patients who have orthopedic care also need occupational and/or physical therapy.
Orthopedic patients can be scheduled for therapy the same day as their physician office visit, allowing them to get everything done at one place and in one visit.
The onsite rehabilitation services also allow physicians to see firsthand how patients are doing on the treadmill or exercising.
Therapists also can make on site custom splints the physicians may require.
