Alzheimer's Adult Day Services Program
|
If you're caring for someone in the early stages of Alzheimer's or another form of dementia, the Alzheimer's Adult Day Services Program can help.
Open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., "The Club" — our expanded Adult Day Services wing — offers a stimulating, friendly and secure environment for your loved one.
We also support family members coping with the challenges of providing care to those with dementia.
About Our Program
Adult Day Care programs like Alzheimer's Adult Day Services allow individuals to attend during the day while their family members/caregivers are at work or unavailable to provide care for other reasons.
A Day Care Program may be freestanding or it may be attached to a long-term care facility such as a nursing home or a residential care facility like the Alzheimer's Care Center.
There are two types of Adult Day Care Programs — Adult Day Social and Adult Day Health Services.
Adult Day Health programs provide medication administration and help with personal care while Adult Day Social programs do not. Our program is a licensed Adult Day Health Services program.
We're so proud of our program, we want to offer you a complimentary visit. Spend some time with us and see how we can help you and your family.
Funding
Our program is financially supported by user fees, the MaineGeneral Health system, United Way contributions and donor gifts.
