MGRNC at Glenridge

MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Nursing Care at Glenridge is a skilled long-term care facility specializing in Alzheimer's and other dementia care.

Our unique concept enhances our residents' capabilities by promoting social interaction and familiarity in a safe environment.

This approach reduces anxiety and agitation common in people with dementia.

Glenridge is part of MaineGeneral Health. Our affiliation gives us access to a range of services and professionals and allows us to broaden the range of care we can offer.

Licensed by the state of Maine, Glenridge is certified by the federal government to provide services under Medicare and Medicaid.

Activities
Our experienced staff provides structured daily activities to meet residents' interests and abilities.

We offer such things as:

  • Gardening

  • Access to pets and pet therapy

  • Music and the cheerful presence of children to enhance a warm and inviting environment

Personal Care Plans
Our team works closely with family members to design personalized care plans focusing on residents' individual strengths.

Our intent is to improve our residents' functional level and well-being. Our goal is to keep residents comfortable and active while maximizing diminishing attention spans.

Daily activities incorporate creative arts, reminiscing and life work skills.

Many of our residents have retained their work ethic and enjoy being useful around the household, whether it involves sweeping, folding towels or gardening in the courtyard.

The environment is conducive for residents to establish their own routines as they would in their own homes.

Residents choose their level of participation and our staff works with each resident to ensure their needs are met and that we provide them with appropriate levels of social and intellectual stimulation.
