At the Alzheimer's Care Center, we offer residents opportunities and choices which allow them to live to their fullest potential.
We treat residents as individuals with unique needs and interests and create a stimulating, home environment for our residents.
Family & Caregiver Support
Our caring, compassionate and experienced staff prides itself on helping families transition through the progression of their loved one's Alzheimer's or other form of dementia.
With such a transition, there are strong emotions attached, including grief, guilt, anger and sadness.
We work to alleviate the stress caregivers feel and provide them with friendship, support and counseling as their loved one benefits from our services.
We strive to help families accept and be comfortable with their decision to have their loved ones stay at the Alzheimer's Care Center, knowing they are receiving excellent care in a secure facility created and staffed especially for people with dementia.
Our staffing structure allows us to provide positive interactions 24 hours a day with our residents because individual staff members are not here 24 hours a day like caregivers are.
Support
The Alzheimer's Care Center is financially supported by resident fees, the MaineGeneral Health system, United Way contributions and donor gifts.
