Living in Maine
MaineGeneral Health and its subsidiaries are located in the Kennebec Valley region. The medical center campuses are in Augusta, Maine's capital city, and Waterville, located about 20 miles to the north.
Only minutes from the two cities are numerous lakes, streams, rolling farmland and wooded recreational areas.
A walk on the beach of Maine's famed rockbound coast is just an hour's drive east, while hiking, mountain biking a nd skiing in our magnificent mountains is an hour's drive west.
Portland, Maine's largest city, is only an hour's drive south and Boston is about three hours down the interstate.
The Kennebec Valley region is an area of modern schools, libraries, museums, social, fraternal and cultural organizations.
The area also is home to the University of Maine at Augusta, Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield and Colby College and Thomas College in Waterville.
